Fast-drying grey anti-corrosion primer for professional maintenance, repair and renovation work.

Rust-Oleum Hard Hat 2182 Anti-Rust Primer helps protect bare or lightly rusted steel and provides a dependable base for compatible Hard Hat topcoats. Its neutral grey colour is particularly well suited beneath lighter finishes while the 500ml aerosol makes it easy to coat edges, joints and difficult-to-reach areas.

• Touch dry in approximately 15 minutes at 20°C
• Can be handled after approximately 30 minutes
• Theoretical coverage of approximately 2.5m² per 500ml aerosol at 25 microns dry film thickness
• Heat resistant up to 100°C in dry conditions; discolouration may occur above 65°C
• Lead and chromate-free formulation

Application guidance

Suitable for machinery, equipment, steel fabrications, railings and other properly prepared steelwork in normal humidity and light industrial environments. Remove oil, grease, loose rust and contamination before application. Recoat within one hour or after 48 hours and finish with a compatible Rust-Oleum Hard Hat topcoat.
